Another day, another Life Clothing shoot! Instead of shooting around the city, I decided to switch into my adventure shoes & try a new spot. Just outside Los Angeles, about an hour north, there's an epic natural park tucked away in a canyon called Vasquez Rocks. I thought I would have heard of this place by now after living in California for over 7 years, but no, this place is kind of a hidden gem & I'm so stoked that Nikia was willing to share it with me. Nikia, you may also know her as Madmaven on Instagram, and I have been talking for awhile about collaborating on a shoot together & finally we were able to make our schedules connect. Check out some of the images from our Sunday Funday at Vasquez Rocks -- which funny enough looks a lot like Utah or Arizona.

AHH - the beauty of living in California and having an abundance of backdrops to play with.

Fun Fact: this Volkswagen Bus just happened to be parked when we arrived at the location. It was owned by a couple just out traveling for the day. They were tucked away on the other side of the bus, eating lunch while these photos were shot. The color of the bus matched the vibe of our shoot so well that we HAD to ask if we could snap some photos with it. This is a note to all of my friends and followers trying to get into photography, if you see a car or something you want to shoot in front of & the owner is present, always ask permission to photograph. It's polite & you never know who you'll meet. There's been a bunch of times where I've met really interesting people just from simply approaching or asking for permission for a photo.
